Grants
Xention is the recipient of a number of grants, mainly from the European Union.
These include the following:
EDICT – a consortium aimed at improving our understanding of the structure and function of membrane proteins, including ion channels.
An award under the Eurostars programme under which we are developing ligands for the CRAC channel in collaboration with Axxam spa.
MAREX – a consortium engaged in the isolation and characterisation of new bioactive compounds, including new tools for the characterisation of ion channels, from marine sources.
EUTRAF – a consortium aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation through the identification of better biomarkers and new drug discovery targets.
