Xention is using its technology to develop a portfolio of drug candidates in areas of substantial commercial potential in a variety of disease areas by:
- Accelerating the development of ion channel active drugs with preferred modes of action and high activity and selectivity;
- Reducing attrition rates in the discovery process;
- Exploiting opportunities in different therapeutic areas by targeting closely related ion channel targets in a “gene family” approach to drug discovery; and
- Assembling the development expertise to rapidly progress programs to clinical proof-of-concept.
